Call for Board Nominations!

Nominations are now open to all Chamber members for the 2020 Board of Directors. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else to the Board, please complete the nomination form below. The nominating committee will meet to review all nominations. 

All applications must be submitted by Friday, September 27. Please note that as we grow this Chamber in number and relevance, the personal commitment of our Board members in terms of time and resources is of great importance. We have provided Board Member expectations and responsibilities below for your reference.

Board Member Expectations + Responsibilites

In January, all Board Members will be asked to sign a Commitment Pledge that includes a summary of the following responsibilities:

Attendance & Participation: We need board members engaged at Board meetings, committee meetings, and events. Attendance at a minimum of (75%) of board meetings is expected.

Representation & Positive Presence: We need leading ambassadors within our community.

Strategic Planning & Implementation: We need big thinkers and forward moving leaders.

Recruitment & Retention: We need your help in growing / retaining our membership. Each Board member is expected to recruit new businesses as Chamber members and support retention efforts.

Financial Resources: We need your support and resources in fundraising events. Each Board member is expected to promote ticket sales and sponsorships to Chamber events.

As we go through this board selection process, we are committed to making this organization the leading resource for businesses in the Natchitoches area.  Please give this responsibility some thought as you submit your nomination.
