Best of Natchitoches Awards
Recognizing the Best Natchitoches Has to Offer
For years, the Chamber has recognized the "best" in business at the Annual Awards Banquet. As of 2021, we are excited to announce that our Awards process is getting a refresh and a rebrand. We are proud to present the "Best of Natchitoches" awards, an online campaign championing the achievements of our member businesses.
The process for nominating and voting for online awards looks very similar to when we were holding the event in person.
The criteria for nominees for the Best of Natchitoches awards are as follows:
Company management • Community service • Economic stability • Ethics and integrity • Growth of company • New jobs created for the community • Upward mobility for employees
Once online nominations have been opened, anyone can nominate a Chamber member business. Nominations will be open for two weeks. Nominees will then be contacted to submit a write-up, and will be recognized on social media. A cross panel of business professionals will then review the nominees' submissions, and select the finalists for each category based on specific award criteria. Finalists will then be contacted and announced to the membership and the community via a press release, email to the membership, and social media.
Following the announcement of the finalists, we will open up online voting. Voting is open to the public, and voters can cast their vote more than once. This is a time for finalists to showcase their nomination and solicit votes.
Voting was open until midnight on Sunday, May 23rd.
Announcing the Winners
The Chamber will host a special Facebook live event to announce the first-ever Best of Natchitoches recipients. Winners will receive a commemorative trophy to display at their place of business, a Best of Natchitoches award-specific seal to proudly display on their company website and promotional material, and a custom, Best of Natchitoches company profile video, which will be distributed on Chamber media channels and will live on the Chamber website and YouTube channel in perpetuity.
Tune into the Facebook livestream event on Thursday, June 3, at 5:00 PM.
