Program participants take classes at the local community college and university. They are awarded an AMT certificate from Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) and an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering Technology by Northwestern State University (NSU).\n\nThe Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) is the premier advanced manufacturing workforce education and development program in the country\, helping students become highly skilled\, globally competitive\, well-rounded and sought-after talent that can meet the unique needs and challenges of today?s modern manufacturing workforce. Every year\, FAME graduates transition into well-paying\, diverse career pathways in critical disciplines across the manufacturing industry and across the country.\n\nWe will hear from NSU President Dr. Chris Maggio\, CLTCC Chancellor Jimmy Sawtelle\, Boise Cascade employee and GeauxFAME Chairman Tommy Peek\, and AMT Student Kristy Willis. This panel will outline the advantages and importance of this program to our community and local economy. \n\nParking\n\nParking will be available at First United Methodist Church\, our friends\, neighbors\, and Chamber members! Special thanks to FUMC for their partnership!\n\nFormat\n\n11:00 - Registration opens near the bust at 2nd and Amulet.\n\n11:30 - Lunch boxes will be available for pickup under the pavilion. You must have an arm band from the registration table to pickup lunch. Seating will be available in the amphitheater.
