  • Materials Team Leader (Night Shift)

    If you are a Materials Team Leader looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Natchitoches, LA location, you will lead a team of 8-20 Material Handlers in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will emphasize safety, employee relations and inventory accuracy. Team is responsible for loading and unloading material and its movement to and from production.


    • Develop plans for Material Handlers to provide uninterrupted material flow to support Assembly.

    • Ensure inventory accuracy through Material handler training and audits from Cycle Counter.

    • Develop work schedules, rotations, standard work and training plans for team.  

    • Set example of working safely and assist with incident investigations.

    • Ensure all employee policies and procedures are encouraged and complied with by all team members.

    • Assist with hiring and ensure daily staffing needs are met.

    • Other duties include setting up outbound transportation, processing freight claims and reviewing scrap audits.

    • Two (2) year Associates Degree plus one (1) year of related experience or equivlent combination of education and experience

    • Candidate must have computer experience; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications(Excel and Word).

    • Verifiable communication and team building skills.

    • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provide for this role.



    • Four (4) year Bachelor Degree

    • One to three (1-3) years or more of experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities

    • Able to obtain forklift license. 

    • Familiarity with scanning inventory into tracking system. 

    • Mainframe and Oracle experience.

    About our Location
    Alliance Compressors is a joint venture established by Emerson Climate Technology, Inc., (formerly Copeland Corporation) a subsidiary of Emerson, and Trane (now a part of Ingersoll Rand,) and Lennox International.  The partnership was formed for the purpose of developing, manufacturing, and marketing one through six-ton scroll compressors.  Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units.  The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space.  This climate-controlled facility is the third largest manufacturing business in the area and offers the 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
