    Leadership Natchitoches Deadline Extended
Application Deadline Extended to November 13
    Natchitoches, LA, November 2, 2020

The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is extending the deadline to apply for the Leadership Natchitoches Program to Friday, November 13 at midnight. Leadership Natchitoches is an eight-month program designed to prepare a diverse group of local leaders to make a significant impact on Natchitoches Parish.  The curriculum focuses on topics such as workforce development, government and governance, economic development, and more. The program will give graduates first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities right here in our parish.

“I signed up for Leadership Natchitoches hoping to learn about this wonderful community and to discover ways my organization could serve it.  Not only did I accomplish those goals, I met servant leaders in my cohort who were passionate about meeting needs and serving all of the people of the Natchitoches community.  Our community's future is bright with Leadership Natchitoches!” says Leadership Natchitoches program participant and Pastor at Westside Baptist Church, Steve McAlister.

Nominees are accepted from public and private agencies, corporations, civic and other organizations, as well as individual nominators. Applicants are accepted on demonstrated leadership ability through career or community achievements, concern for the future of the Natchitoches Area and commitment to the program. Interested parties may learn more about the program and how to apply at NatchitochesChamber.com/Leadership. Tuition for the program is $600. Limited scholarship funds are available upon request.

“Leadership Natchitoches provided me with the opportunity to meet other leaders in a variety of professional fields and industries - individuals that I would have not encountered in my day-to-day job as park superintendent. The information I learned has allowed me to be more aware of issues that face our community and how the National Park Service can partner with other organizations to tackle some of those concerns,” says Leadership Natchitoches program participant and Cane River Creole National Historical Park Superintendent, Carrie Mardorf.

The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to making the Natchitoches area a thriving business community by promoting commerce, strengthening people, and improving lives.
