Government Affairs Committee Members

The Government Affairs (GA) Committee is an integral part of the Chamber.  This committee works to proactively address issues that may have adverse effects on the business community in Natchitoches Parish.  As such, they are constantly monitoring legislative issues, having conversations with our local legislators and working closely with municipal and parish-wide governing bodies to focus on our members' needs.

For 2012, the Government Affairs Committee is chaired by Dustin Cross, of the Cross Financial Group located in Natchitoches.  Mr. Cross has sat on the Board of Directors for several years and also serves as the Chair-Elect for the Executive Committee.

Home Rule Charter

On October 22, 2011 voters in Natchitoches cast their ballot to change Parish government from the Police Jury system to a new, more efficient Home Rule Charter with a Parish President.
