The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is the lead organization for the Natchitoches Parish Leadership Team. Tony Davis, Chamber President, has led this initiative locally with support from the Central Louisiana Economic Development Alliance (CLEDA) and the Orchard Foundation, a subsidiary of the Rapides Foundation.
Becoming a Certified Work Ready Community is tremendous for Natchitoches parish. It not only provides a real, quantitative measurement of our workforce in several key areas, but also plays an integral role in connecting qualified applicants to jobs; reducing turnover at those jobs; and providing incentive for those potential employees to acquire an NCRC, thus adding to our quantitative measurement of workforce and related skill.
