In 2013, Emma Boozman retired as one of the most successful girls’ basketball coaches in Louisiana with an 865-370 record in her 36-year career (26 with the Natchitoches Central High School Chiefs). Prior to her coaching career, she was a standout athlete at Northwestern State University, averaging 10 points and five rebounds per game from 1973 to 1976.
