You will be prepared to enter the field of Forestry as a Master Certified Logger, equipped with the knowledge and practices to start work immediately.
For the first time ever, this training is being offered in Many, Louisiana.
Classes begin May 26, 2015.
This is a 19-week course, divided between classroom session and field work.
First, 5 weeks of classes, 8am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, held at the Sabine Valley Northwest Louisiana Technical College located in Many, Louisiana.
Then, 14 weeks of field work, 2 days each week, on-site at specified location (total of two full days per week)
Graduation is scheduled for October 1, 2015.

- No previous experience necessary; however, HS diploma or GED required
- Must be 18 to apply
- Must be able to pass random drug screenings
- Must complete a WorkKeys Assessment, showing a score of Bronze or higher
- Must fill out a completed application
- You can apply for financial assistance through WIA at Sabine Valley NW Louisiana Technical College
