Treasurer Schroder Presents: Louisiana Main Street Recovery Program
In an effort to get Louisiana businesses the economic support they need, Act 311 of the Louisiana 2020 Regular Session set aside $275 million from the CARES Act for a small business grant program. The LouisianaMain Street Recovery Program (website www.louisianamainstreet.com/) is designed to provide financial assistance to local small businesses. Small businesses in Louisiana could get up to $15,000 in grants for eligible expenses. The program begins accepting applications online on July 28th.
As part of this, the Legislature has mandated that at least $40 million be allocated to minority, women, and veteran owned businesses in the first 60 days. Please note: non-profit organizations are not eligible to receive grants through the Louisiana Main Street Recovery Program.
