    Northwestern State University seeks an experienced individual to assume the position of Electronic Learning Systems Support Specialist.

    Qualifications

    Preference will be given to applicants with:
     

    • Degree in IT related field preferred
    • Relevant experience within a computer-related field
    • Relevant experience working with video conferencing equipment
    • Ability to work with people
    • Proficient in current Internet technologies and applications

     

    Job Concepts

    The Support Specialist will:

    • Be responsible for special event audio/video setup
    • Interface various types of audio-visual, communication, and presentation technology, and ensure that all audio-visual requirements requested by university constituents are met
    • Provide audio-visual support regarding all aspects of presentations
    • Responsible for day-to-day support of the video conferencing classes
    • Assist in the installation of new equipment for local and remote sites
    • Work cooperatively with University networking staff in the maintenance and troubleshooting of networking problems
    • Assist in the installation and support of equipment for technology-enabled classrooms
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with university faculty, staff, vendors, and others
    • Maintain documentation of all systems as required
    • Travel as needed to maintain operation of delivery systems
    • Provide technical support evenings and weekends as necessary
    • Work in the capacities as needed or determined by supervisor
