Natchitoches, LA, April 22, 2024: The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the hiring of Brittany McCoy as the Director of Economic and Community Development. Brittany brings over eight years of invaluable experience in economic and community development, significantly contributing to the growth and prosperity of various communities. She holds a master’s degree in economic development. Additionally, Brittany has honed her skills in grant management, proposal development, and writing for seven years, helping organizations secure crucial funding for their initiatives. With a bachelor’s in hospitality management, her impressive 12-year background in hospitality and tourism management has established her as an expert in promoting destinations and creating memorable experiences. Brittany's comprehensive skill set and dedication to enhancing community well-being make her a catalyst for positive change. Her hiring is aimed at managing the increased workload of economic development for the parish, in collaboration with the Natchitoches Economic Development Alliance (NEDA), solidifying our commitment to fostering an environment of growth and prosperity.

In addition to Brittany's appointment, we are proud to announce several strategic promotions within our team. Laura Lyles is being promoted from President to President and CEO, a move that underscores her remarkable leadership and vision for the chamber. Dustin Dauzat has shifted from Director of Development to Director of Programs and Events, engaging our community through impactful programs and community initiatives. Morgan Green is transitioning from Communications Coordinator to Coordinator of Communications and Events, demonstrating her expertise in elevating our communications strategy. Marilyn Mulliken will continue to serve as the Office Administrator, providing essential support to our operations.
