NPSB Names New Lakeview Jr./Sr. High School Principal

NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA – Natchitoches Parish Schools is pleased to announce that Chase Stepp has been named the new principal of Lakeview Jr./Sr. High School. Stepp’s position will be effective for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Chase Stepp, a lifelong resident of Natchitoches, is currently an assistant principal at Natchitoches Junior High—Frankie Ray Jackson School. He will be succeeding Karla Renter, who will continue to serve as Lakeview’s principal until the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Stepp began his educational career with the Natchitoches Parish School District in 2014, directly following his undergraduate program at Northwestern State University. He served as a K-8th grade physical education and social studies teacher for six years at Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School. Following his time as an educator, Stepp transitioned into the discipline coordinator and assistant principal for two years at Marthaville before moving to Natchitoches Junior High. “I am eager and excited to have the opportunity to assist in the growth of Natchitoches Parish Schools as an educational leader and parent,” said Chase Stepp. “I am honored that Lakeview Jr./Senior High School is the school I will invest in, grow with, and soon call home. I have known since completing my first year of teaching that I wanted to be a leader of a school that cultivates lasting relationships with students, teachers, and community members. Through collaboration and data-driven decisions, Lakeview Jr/.Sr. High School will achieve all goals set to prepare students for a bright future. I am all in!” For more administrative updates on Natchitoches Parish Schools, please follow the Natchitoches Parish School Board on social media or visit their website at www.npsb.la.
